After a long winter, there are a few things you should inspect on your vehicle. The visibility you have when you drive is important. You will want to check the windshield and windshield wipers of your vehicle. Without the wipers, you will not be able to clear away grime, debris, water, and other items like leaves. If you notice any issues, make sure to bring your vehicle in so we can inspect it. Even if you are not sure, it is always better to be safe than sorry.

Windshield

Check the windshield for any cracks, divots, or chips. If the small damage is ignored, it can become bigger. Sometimes this happens quickly. If you do not fix the issue, you run the risk of the damage impacting your visibility when you drive. Make sure that check the side windows and back windshield as well. If you have automatic windows, sometimes the motor can fail. You will want to check the windows to make sure they can go down and back up again. The last thing you want is to lower the window, and it will not come up, especially if rain occurs. If there is any issue, it is always best to have it inspected as soon as possible.

Windshield Wipers

The windshield wipers should also be checked. Over the winter, they will operate heavily. They also go over ice, frost, snow, and other grime. This can wear down the rubber on the blades and cause them to no longer be as efficient as they otherwise should. If you are not sure if the wipers will need to be replaced, you can always bring the vehicle in and we can inspect them for you. Having good wipers helps improve the visibility on the road as well when you drive.
