You may notice the dashboard warning lights coming on at one point or another. These can most often be seen when you go to start your vehicle. Some of these lights will turn on just briefly, and then go off after a few seconds when you start your car. If a warning light comes on and stays on for a length of time, this is the best reason to bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for you. If the light starts to blink, this can indicate a much more serious issue with the vehicle. When it is safe to do so, you will want to pull over and out of the way of any traffic. Turn your vehicle off so if there is a problem, it is not doing further damage to your vehicle.
If the oil pressure warning light comes on, it will mean an issue with the oil. When the light stays on, it can determine that there is a loss of pressure for the oil. You will want to check the oil for the vehicle. This includes the oil pressure, level amount, and how clean the oil is. Make sure to follow the recommended oil change schedule for the vehicle. If you are not sure how often this should be, make sure to contact us. You can also find the oil change schedule in the vehicle owner’s manual. Following this will help to ensure fresh clean oil is able to lubricate the engine of your vehicle.
You may also have another light on the dashboard that is the change engine oil light. This will help determine when the oil will need to be changed. The light can get the reading by the interval of the mileage on the vehicle. When the light comes on, then you know it is time to have the oil changed.
